Materials

We keep it simple: we only work with materials that are readily available, local and efficient. This supports our local

ecosystem and allows us to excel with a broad range of options. It also reinforces our commitment to support our

local suppliers, whether they are fully certified modern industries or local skilled craftsmen and craftswomen.

When certain materials are not available locally, we liaise with our overseas suppliers. Here too, we build long-term

relationships that result in greater reliability and mutual understanding.

Wood

We use both Teak and Java Oak (Melia azedarach), which are sourced from reliable local partners who share our dedication to quality, sustainability and ethical forestry practices.

Our wood is legal, sustainable and traceable according to the new European Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products (EUDR), and of course, we are SVLK-certified.

Teak Wood

Teak is prized for its renowned resistance to weather, salt and insects, as well as its honey-golden brown tone and natural oil content. We use prime Grade in order to ensure high density, even grain and long-term stability. Its strength and natural oils convert Teak in our favourite wood for outdoor furniture, allowing us to create pieces of furniture that will endure time and weather with grace.

Java Oak

Finishes

We use non-toxic, low-VOC finishes, carefully applied to protect surfaces without compromising the material’s authenticity or the environment. Available in both NC, (mostly used in Indonesia) and PU, which is more suitable for hospitality projects where durability and scratch protection are needed.
