The Komu

Tabú Design furnished The Komu, a 126-room aparthotel located in the heart of Berawa, one of the most vibrant districts of Canggu, in Bali. Designed by Caceres & Tous seeking flexibility, comfort and long-term living, The Komu blends industrial-chic aesthetics with smart spatial solutions.

Tabú Design delivered fully functional furniture solutions across all 126 rooms. All furniture was produced in-house, with a focus on consistency, functionality, and durability.

  • Fixed Furniture: Kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, desks, shelving units, sliding doors and AC panel covers.
  • Loose Furniture: Beds, sofas, lounge chairs, dining chairs, side tables, and custom desk chairs designed in close collaboration with the client to maximize space efficiency without sacrificing comfort or style.

Throughout the process, we conducted precise field measurements and technical drawings for each unit, ensuring efficient coordination and timely execution, as well as regular quality control checks. The final result met the standards expected by both clients and guests, offering a perfect balance between leisure, work and community.
